Tips.

Hello stitchers!

We've already seen many pictures of my current wips and i thought, for this time, that i'll mention the technique i've used so far for some of them: the parking method.

Well, i'll admit: this method of stitching had me scared at first, with all that threads hanging down i thought "that's something impossible, those are all gonna be a giant tangled mess, i'll never use it, i'll do only cross country". I was so wrong!
Once understood the correct way to do so, it very easy to use it to simplify the process of moving through the stitching, avoiding the constant need to end and start a new thread for crosses of the same color that may be near the one already stitched.
For pattern with many, many color changes (also known as confetti stitches) the use of this method will prove itself handy.

The perfect way to understand this fabulous techinque is to go grab a copy of a well written guide that will explain perfetcly how to move the first steps towards the use of the parking method.

Here there's the English version and here there's the Italian one. It comes as a PDF file and, differently from videos and such, it's perfect to read when you're off-line.

In the guide you will find some other useful tips and tricks that will make everything easier making it a perfect gift for someone that may be intimidited to start on such a long journey as it's stitching big patterns.
I think that every stitcher needs it, because you never stop learning.

Let me know how you like it.
